I wonder what is going on, I have measured my hair back in December, and the average length is around 10cm with longest being 13cm (I started from a crew cut where longest hair is 3cm) and my fringe hair covers about 3/4 of my ear. Now I measured the hair again (one that sheds that is) and the length is around 13-15 cm.... I dont know cause it used to grow much faster, but now it seems its slowing down. Plus I shed like crazy, gobs of hair at the shower floor and when cleaning the floor also sweeping lots of hair up as well. I do not notice any hair getting thinner, it appears thin throughout and it has been that way forever. I have this fear in the back of my mind that I have already reached the terminal length or at least getting close to it, and that I wont ever have the fortune of having my hair down to my lower back...
Try to focus on something else, Your scalp needs to be free of pressure from within the head. Then it can relax and behave like it has to. So give it some lone time.
Doesn't make any sense?
Well, That's because u should try it out. RELAX :)
how long of time have you been letting it grow?
hair only grows on average 1/2 inch a month
and people lose about 100 hairs per day
so just give it some more time
peace

Yes, that is a sure sign that you are already approaching terminal length, your hair will not get past you shoulders, no chance in the world, let alone your butt, lol.
As for the shedding, well that looks like an early symptom of the dreaded MPB disease. Might as well enjoy the hair while it lasts.
I'm pulling you leg. Please disregard all previous comments i just made :)
Lol! How can you say something like that? Don't pull peoples legs like that, I almost had a shock.
lol
Haha Chill Baldur he teasers just like me
You are both evil then :)
You are both evil then :)
So it seems you know me by now from chatting to me on MSN lol
I wouldn't worry about it. We all have spells when our hair seems to grow slower (or stop growing altogehter), then suddenly there's a burst of growth. Whether this really happens or it's just perception (most likely the latter), worrying about it takes the fun out of the process. Hang in there; I guarantee that in a month or two you'll wake up one day and it will seem your hair grew an inch overnight.
Cheers,
Jeremy
Hair, on average, grows 1/2" a month. Your hair will have times of slowed growth, time of quicker growth.
A daily multivitamin will help (runs to take vitamin she forgot) growth possibly quicker, definitely healthier. Exercise increases blood flow, and can cause faster growth.
I've noticed my hair grows faster in summer. This can be because of sunlight, but I think it's because I'm out there getting fresh air and doing things during summer months.
Everyone sheds approx. 100 hairs a day on average. The longer your hair is, the more there seems to be coming out because of the overall mass. Stress will cause you to lose more hairs than that.
I suggest you find a local park you can walk through. Take a multivitamin in the morning, have a healthy breakfast, and spend an afternoon walking through the park and enjoying the beauty of life and nature. It will help to relax you, and perhaps you can stop at some pretty and restful areas and just think. We all need to take quiet moments for ourselves to clear our heads.
Hmm..I have a proposition for you then..stop meausuring it!it takes all the fun out of it..take me for instance..I"m not measuring my hair..and I"m lovin every minute of my hair growth!!LOL..
