hey im going to turkey for a two week vacation and i was wondering what the level of tolerance for a semi-long haired person is over there thanks
it shouldn't be a problem considering some of the guys wear earrings :p it's a Muslim country but i think the government does't govern solely on religion the way other parts of The Middle East do so it shouldn't be a big problem
It's a comparytively civilised country and should not be any issue - indeed much of it prides itself on being Europe oriented NOT Asian.
Just beware of the excellent barbers that it has!
I went to Turkey last year, my hair was past my shoulders then. Where I went, it seemed popular for guys to have ear length hair, or hair as long as mine in a ponytail and gelled.
Turkey is a really tolerant country surprisingly, nothing like the other Islamic states.
thanks for the reply's guys
hehe but the country itself is divided between Europe and Asia. my mom recently came back from there and said there are 2 flags for the country. you'll see them both as you cross a bridge leading from the European section to the Asian section
oh by the way, The Middle East is not just in Asia, it's also in Africa and Europe (the smaller section of Turkey) bc it's a cultural area =) (but the majority of countries are Muslim countries as you may have already guessed lol)
