i want to grow my hair out, but when it grows out it is straight, is there like a shampoo that i can use to help make it wavy or curley
thanks!
No, there is no 'miracle shampoo' product that can change one's natural hair texture. All shampoo does is clean the hair, nothing beyond that. It is always said that people desire what they don't have - just enjoy your straight hair and grow it long dude. You may be suprised to find that your hair may change shape or become wavier as it gets longer. When my hair was short i thought i had straight hair, it was until i started growing it and i said "hey, i got some nice curls forming!".
You will be amazed how much hair can change and morph as it gains length. Who knows? if i grew my hair to waist length the curls might loosen up, only way to find out is to sit back and let it grow. A lesson or two in patience.
There's a shampoo my daughter uses (she has very straight long hair) when she wants it curley; it's called "Wash & Curl". They have a condidtioner also. I can't speak for how healthy it is for the hair. She does have to use curlers or something; it just doesn't curl on its own, though.
Other than that, I don't know of anything else.

Actually, I learned something through Wikihow... Part your hair into a few sections (like 6-8) when it's still wet, put some gel in (I have a natural gel) and braid it. Use hair bands that don't snag the hair. Sleep on the braids and wait about 12 hours. When your hair is dry, undo the braids. You will have wavy hair without a perm, rollers, or anything that can hurt your hair. Enjoy.
