Hello,
inspired by this board and some members I decided NOT to cut my long hair at shoulder length as I did it usually in the past about two times per year. It has now grown further for more than 6 months.
Well, I am still not so sure about it because caring, washing and brushing takes now much longer time and my hair is so thick its no fun. Somtimes I have the feeling that people on the streets or in the train are staring at me (even if I wear it in the ponytail as always).
But before I decide how to continue I wanted to present you my actual look. Its now so long as never before in my life. Maybe I keep it, maybe I let it grow even longer, maybe not...we will see
comments welcome, as usual ;-)
Well, thats me outdoor at the first really great summer days in south germany this week...
A closer look...
From the side...
and the ponytail (became much longer, too...) ;-)
Thanks for all your great work and support at this board, guys :-)
best regards
I am so pleased that you have been inspired by the board to grow your hair further, as it really does suit and looks fantastic.
If people in the street are staring at you, its most likely for a positive reason!
In my opinion, I would keep growing it for another 6 months or so and then maintain it.
At the very least I would keep it as great as it is looking now.
If you choose to go back to your shoulders...that is up to you and you will still be a proud longhair either way.
P.S. Is Germany struck by World Cup 'fever'?
Hi Leto,
as I said already, your hair phantastic, and I think the length suits you well. It was a good decision to stop trimming. - Thanks for sharing these pictures with us.
Happy growth, hope you can enjoy it forever.

P.S. So that's in Southern Germany... What's the current water temperature in the lake? Too bad the weather isn't that good here right now...
I think it looks great as it is now! If I were you I'd keep it at that lenght, or grow it longer.
It looks great. I wish I knew how you kept your back off your face so well, even when you have your head leaning forward a bit as you do in a couple of those pics. Mine is also rather thick, and it tends to fall forward into my face on the slightest excuse.

Hi Leto,
It's great to know that you have got inspiration here and you kept growing for a further 6 months.
You've got great really thick hair and looks great at that length or longer and I would certainly not recommend you to cut it shorter.

Looks fabulous Leto, whether you keep it that way or go longer. Looks incredible, and very nice pics BTW, nice sunny mood.
Hi Leto, your hair looks wonderful at its current length. If anything, you might want to grow it a little longer. I realize that longer hair is more work. To make detangling your thick hair easier, you may want to try using a wide tooth comb. Also, a good conditioner is helpful, I use aussie moist or garnier fructis. The trick is to rinse out 90% of it, leaving a trace of it in your hair.

wow, you have beautiful hair, leave it alone (says she who usually goes for the straight haired look!!), bet they're staring cos they're thinking the same thing
sorry for the delay, there was a problem with my internet connection.
Thanks for your replies... yes, Germany is indeed struck by "World Cup fever". But I am not exactly interested in that....
Well, I think I will let it grow for another 6 months and then maybe I will post an update again. I am curious myself how I may look then ;-)
Indeed I know the problem with the hair falling forward in the face only too good... But since it was bound in a ponytail before I made these pics it held a "tighter form" than usually
OK, thanks again and until next time...
best regards
