hello, i have been noticing that my hair in the back...neck hair has been curling outwards, i don't like it,and i realize this may be the awkward stage but should i cut the neck hair or should i wait it out and let it grow?
Definitely the latter
I disagree with the previous poster. Personally, i leave the hair on the back of the neck. You can shave it off with a personal trimmer/beard trimmer to neaten up the look whilst wearing a ponytail. This hair usually never grows more than an inch or so and there is no point in preserving it.
I've got the same thing, but the hair on the back of my neck is now white and looks kind of funky with my otherwise dark ponytail. When I wear my hair down, it hides the neck-hair. In short, I bounce between not worrying about it and liking it.
It won't get any length to it, so there's no point in trying to "grow it"; it's "just there".
I would suggest shaving the short hairs at you neckline - taking care not to get the long hair.
Every couple of weeks is enough.
Doubtless other views will be expressed but this deals with the issue neatly.

Hi Logan,
you always can cut/shave neck hairs later, I just wouldn't worry about it for quite a while. In no more than six months, you'll see which hairs still grow and which hairs don't get longer than, say, one inch. Perhaps you want to cut those, but it's certainly not urgent. For psychological reasons, I'd prefer to gain a lot of overall length before cutting anything. Let your hair do its thing, it'll turn out all right.
Hope that helps.

Whats up Logan
