And society thinks long hair on us looks unprofessional. HA!!, You look awesome in that tux. :-) I think the long hair looks better. But then again, I am biased.
Thanks! The compliment is very much appreciated.
You do yourself an injustice - white tie/tails is not a tuxedo. Far superior
Yes, thank you for the correction. In the community group I used to sing with, we wore tuxedos for our concerts. Now that I'm in a professional ensemble, the white tie and tails are de rigueur.
In a way, though, it's really all drag. :-)
Exceptionally classy Dino! I hope everything went well, I would have loved to come out and support a fellow longhair but thats just a bit to far of a drive for an East Coaster!
Are you the only longhair in your group?
And why is classical music called longhair music anyway? (OK rhetorical question, but if anybody knows I have always wondered that :) )
Well, I appreciate the thought, anyway, Chris! The concerts went very well; I'm going to be going through withdrawal now that summer break is here. At least I have my cello to keep me happy (musically, that is).
I'm not, actually. Of the ten men in the group, three of us are longhairs, although one will not be returning next season because of family commitments. :-(
Hi Dino,
your long hair / tux combination looks great! this shows how "formal" and classy long-hair styles can look. By the way, I'd grow it a LOT longer, it'll even go better with your high-class tux.
Hans-Uwe
Hans-Uwe, thank you for the kind words. I also really like the look of a longhaired man in formal wear. And yes, I am planning on growing it longer -- no specific goal in mind at this point... just longer. :-)
dino
Hi Dino, I really like the tux! great picture!! long hair def suits you.. and like Hans-Uwe said it shows that long hairs def can show some classy style.
Thanks so much, Salidbar. This is the first time I've ever had my hair long. I had always been apprehensive about how it would look on me, but now that I've got it, I love it! I don't ever want to go short again!
Looks very nice! I've always thought that long hair and a tux seem to go together quite well.
Hope the concert went well. I was thinking about going but I had too many things to take care of, coming back from a business trip.
--Rick, in San Jose
Thanks, Rick! I'm glad you were at least thinking of going. I'm not sure when our next concert series will be, but I'll be sure to post it on here when it comes up. We don't start rehearsing again until September, so most likely the next concert will be toward the end of the year.
dino
If I were you I'ed frame that one. Very distinguished!
Nice words; thank you, Justin! Actually, I don't usually like pictures of myself -- I don't think I'm the photogenic type -- but this one isn't half bad.
Looks really smart, and the long hair definately suits you really well.
Thanks very much; I know I'm enjoying the long hair!
Great photo!
Your great looking hair adds more class to the classy occasion.
- Oren
Thanks, Oren. I also like the fact that there are a couple of other longhairs in the group. One is leaving, unfortunately; I hope the music director replaces him with another longhair!
I must have missed this you look very smart i sure hope the lady in question was impressed by you dress sense !
Axel
Thanks, Axel, appreciate the comment. But what lady are you talking about? Whoever it was, I hope she was impressed too. :-)
Thats such a cool look - you could be the next James Bond!
