How many dudes are gay here?
Several are, many aren't. The proportion of gay guys on this board is probably the same as in the general population, i.e., around 5-10%. Long hair is no indicator of a man's sexual orientation.
Im just tryin to see, cuz alot of peeps stereotype long haired dudes that way.
I found that to be the case back in high school (and it still happens every now and then when I am at bars).
But I have realized that being called "gay" because one has long hair is not an insult to ones hair - the abuser likely does not have an agenda to use derogatory language to every long-haired guy that s/he comes into contact with on a daily basis. It's just a quick insult that is so popular in society that it's the first thing that a lot of people think of when they want to insult you. It's also used on people's clothing, speech, physical movements, etc. Believe me, it's little different than "your ____ sucks," for example.
It's funny becasue I do get hit on by a lot of men, but they often tell me that it's because of my body type and "how I carry myself," not so much my hair. In fact, the last guy who appoached me told me that if I just cut my hair that I would be "abolutely gorgeous."
The homosexual crowd are pretty much just like the heterosexual crowd. Some of the guys grow their hair long, some don't. Some are attracted to other guys with long hair, others aren't (just like heterosexual women).
The truth is, deep inside, we're all very much the same beautiful thing.

Well, I'm gay and i don't see why long hair would be any indication of someone's sexualtiy. In fact, most of my gay friends all think I'm crazy for wanting to grow out my hair. I only know straight guys that have longer hair.
I am, but (alas) its very rare to find gay guys with lonmg hair. =-(

What does this kind of a question contribute to a site whos sole purpose is to support and answer all kinds of questions about long hair for guys desiring to grow-out their hair?
I do believe you are on the wrong board. But I have heard that there IS a board devoted to Gay Longhaires someplace on the internet. Perhaps you can find it? For all I know some of the guys here might be over there? A good project for you to analize, equate, ponder and do an in-depth researched study of.
