My health hasn't been the best lately and sometimes when I'm down like that I don't take as good care of my hair and I tend to lose my enthusiam in general for it. I'm starting to feel better though and decided to take some pics. I seem to notice a LOT of shedding lately, hopefully it's just a passing Spring thing.
These aren't the best pics. I think the neglect shows somewhat. Hopefully some TLC will correct matters..

And finally I couldn't resist posting some pics of my new Siamese kitten, Riley!
I can relate to how being sick and down can affect your hair care. I sometimes get sick and can get depressed as a side effect of it. One way I can measure how depressed/enthusiastic I am feeling is to come here and see people's progress pics. On a really bad day if I look here and say "Why am I doing this, it doesn't look right, why bother?" then I feel like the best hair care I can do just then is just not cut it :)
But when I am feeling great and come here and see pics like yours, well the opposite occurs and I want that hair! lol.
Your hair looks great and none the worse for wear I hope!
Riley looks very cute too, does he play with your hair? probably not the best for hair lol but I bet its irresistable to a cat.
KITTY! ARGH! (Dies of cuteness attack)
Ridiculously cute felines aside, your hair's looking great! Perhaps not as shiny as it could be around the back, but still an impressive achievement! Keep up the great work!
That's a good way to look at things I think. Just maintaining one's hair during those periods where we're less enthusiastic is usually enough to get us through those periods.
Thanks for the compliments..
Jason,
Sorry to hear you've been under the weather lately.
30 months - 2.5 years - congrats! Your hair is getting long and looks fantastic, even on bad-hair days.
Keep up the great work, and get well soon.
- Oren
Glad you are starting to feel better. Good news. As far as how your hair looks, I myself could never have told of any kind of neglict. It looks just too good! Sensational in fact!
Wow...I take a few months off from this board and everyone's hair has gotten so much longer!
Looks great Jason. I hope you are staying satisfied with it.
I'm glad you are feeling better! Its no fun being sick.
So who's the big cat?
Looks fantastic, great colour and lays really well. I guess that type of hair allows you to put it into many different styles, and I think the half tail is superb.
Hope you are back to 100% soon!!
Hi Jason,
Looking good as always. Hope things are picking up for you in the health department.
And what a cute little pussycat. I'm a dog person but I do love kittens.

Hi Jason,
your hair is still gaining length and impressiveness, and if that's your "bad hair day", then I think you're quite lucky. In any case, I can't detect any effects of shedding. You got serious length now, and it looks as great as ever!
Glad you're recovering, and CU soon!

Hair looks great of course as always, and the cats are adorable. That little Siamese cat is soooo cute! Does it have a crook in the tail? I always have heard that they sometimes did because the royal coutiers in Siam put their rings on the cat's tail for keeping and the crook kept them from falling off. Surely that is just a legend, but a cool story nonetheless.
Hope you get to feeling better soon!
C ya later, Bragi
Thanks Bragi.
His tail is completely straight although I've heard of other Siamese with this trait. From what I've read, there's been an effort recently to breed this condition out of the breed.
Hey
Jason
As usually you hair is in Excellent condition and well cared for as it just gets better with the more length you have also like you pictures of you beautful kitten i love all animals especially cat, dogs, snakes & spiders yeah im defiately an animal and insect fan :-)

Hate to be the bearer of superlatives, but if that's your hair on a bad day, I think you'd kill us on a good day! Your previous updates sure have.
I'm digging the pink shirt! It goes so nicely with your hair, especially now that some length is really showing in the back. What I like about that back shot is that because the hair is so healthy (yes, it DOES look healthy, whether you think so or not. We silly humans always enlarge self-worries to planetary proportions. I'm a proud offender :P), and with the pink shirt and all, you could pass for a woman from behind. Well, with less broad shoulders, lol. But I mean that as a compliment. After all, in today's female=longhaired society, being genuinely mistaken for a girl because of one's hair means that the mistaken's hair must be very well-taken-care of indeed. So, in short, great progress, particularly the shadowed pics. The half-tails are awesome as well. I can't wait until I can make a passable-looking one.
OMG THAT CAT IS PSYCHOPATHICALLY CUTE!!!!! *swoons*
I've always been an avid dog-supporter in the vicious dog vs cat wars (lol, this seems like an odd Pixar fantasy film brewing), but your demonically cute kitten makes me want to get an identical Siamese! It's the last picture where it really shines - not just because it looks so adorably innocent, (and the other way round, too), but because it looks so perfect out in Nature. And yet it looks so right in the house, too - maybe it's just the image modern idelogies have imposed on us, or maybe it's some hint of a fusion of old and new? Eh, getting O/T, sorry, lol. Great cat, great hair, great cat with great hair, there we go.
Keep the awesomeness up, dude.
Peace
Haha, you're too kind with your superlatives but thanks! That shirt is more a maroon in neutral light but it did come out pink in the pics. Now if I just had a pink hair-tie to match!
I love dogs too. They're just harder to care for because they need more attention. I find with working fulltime I couldn't give them the attention they need.
I think you'd find a Siamese kitten very entertaining. Of all the kittens I've had, he's the most energetic and spirited, providing constant entertainment.
Your hair looks great from where I'm standing mate! Cute cats too!
Best wishes and good health for the future!
I know this depression is just a passing phase. Thanks for your support and compliments!
When I saw the first pic I thought you had dyed your hair. Haha. Great progress J.
