Okay guys, combing aggravates me a lot, and I sometimes think that I'm not doing it right. My hair is somewhat curly, and a bit below my shoulders. I've been finger combing for quite a while. I usually start near the bottom of the hair, going underneath and away from the scalp with my fingers (and kinda keeping my fingers close together). I can't help but thing that I'm causing more hair than normal to come out. I have tons that comes out (I know some is supposed to be normal, but I think I may be breaking some).
I usually comb my hair once it dries after showering, and then in the morning before work. How important is it to get out as many loose hairs possible? I've got a comb that I rarely use, is it the wrong kind?
Are there some tips anyone could offer? It's become a very time consuming process, and is very frustrating. Or am I upset about nothing, and this is normal? Thanks.
Maybe you are worrying too much ?
IMO, your way of treating your curls is O.K.
Hair is _always_shredding, no matter if you comb it or not. When one combs, less hair fall of by themself, because are removed while combing.
Some hair on a comb is perfectly normal.
Just don't overcomb, don't pull too much force.
Buy a real wide teeth comb, yours one has teeth in different distance near hand and in differend at the end - a perfect one should look like yours at the end. Try to get a wooden one. Expensive, but lasts virtually for ages. It doesn't need to have a grip, mine doesn't have one, and is practical - you can comb with both hands easier :).
