About a month ago i cut my shoulder-length hair of my own accord because it was so damaged i couldnt do anything with it any more. thats not the point though.
my hair is pretty wavy and in the back it likes to curl up a lot. well for some reason my hair in the back likes to curl upwards on one side of my head and it curls downwards on the other side. i was wondering if this was normal. i think it looks pretty stupid, but im willing to wait it out if thats normal.
i dont remember from when i grew my hair out the first time, because i straightened it every day. hence leading me to cut it a month ago. im looking to take very good care of my hair this time, so id appreciate anything you guys have to offer.
My hair tends to curl in all directions too. It's just part of naturally "un-straight" hair. A lot of it will go away with added length though, so keep growing!
You pretty much described exactly how my hair is. It curls up in back, and waves in odd places. I've come to accept that this is how wavy hair is. You have to tough it out. The reason it will curl up on one side and go down on the other is because of its natural tendencies. My mother has hair right up by her forehead that will curl every time it dries, while the hair around it is mostly straight. And on my hair in the back, the right side almost always dries totally straight and the left side flips up and out. Yes, it's a pain but just try to manage
Straight and curly hairs both pretty much do the same thing everywhere. Wavy hair has the notoriety for being very inconsistent. Just try to do your best. Good luck if you plan on growing again!
Dear Holy Food,
Thou must stop abusing your hair and learn patience, In two years, if you follow my council your hair will be handsome and you will be pleased, but you must be patient.
