one of my sisters (that supportsmyhair growing btw) came home and one of the first things she commented on was the state of my hair. Basicly she showed me how the dry knotted hair at the back was in fact split ends monter ones...like 2-3 inches....thats why i couldent find them becuase there so long. My sisters takeing me to her hairdresser(apparently trustworthy) to get the split ends trimmed
i really should have gotten a trim when i posted pics of the back ofmy head ages back
oh well i shall report back tomorrow after the cut on the trim. Its prettyembarassing to get such massive damage when i looked aftermyhairso painstakeingly.......the only thing i can think of that cuas the damage was touching myhair too much and the heads and shoulders anti dandruff shampoo/ conditioner i use. Perhaps it has some strong chemicals in it?
It can be surprising how little you need to trim to get rid of bad ends. When I went for a trim, It was less than an inch of frizzy hair. I don't think you will have a problem; good luck with it.

My friend.... touching your hair isn't necessarily damaging, but head and shoulders is nasty stuff.... not good for long hair, and especially not good for long periods of time. On top of that, you use shampoo and conditioner in one, which is a HUGE contradiction. Stop using that brand and STOP using shampoo and conditioner in one... It's not good for long hair at all.
Other than that hudos to your sister and good luck with the trim.
