Karsten, are you OK? I been watching the headlines regarding the terrible flooding in Binghamton over the past few days. If you are OK, let us know.

Thanks so much for your concern Absalom ... I am fine. I do live right next to the Chenago River but the bank is built so high that I don't have to worry about my area. Across the river from me is Otsinango Park which is completely under water. I had planed to go to Knoebels Park in Elysburg Pa. yesterday but roads were closed and the park was flooded. I took two vacation days - can't go anywhere - and my work ended up closing so I would have had the two days off anyway with pay if I had not already taken the time off. Leave it too me to choose two days out of 365 that a major flood would occur.
Many people here - and in the surronding areas, are not doing as well as I am. I don't have cable, but I understand Binghamton made the national news. (And I used to say that nobody cares what happens here.)

I was wondering how Knoebels Park faired in this, as they tend to flood up quite a bit. We were gettng our fair share of the rain here in Fredericksburg, VA, but it looks like the worst of it was just north of here.
I was hopeing to get up to Knoebels myself for a couple of days sometime this summer. However, you can pretty much bet that I'll be there during the Covered Bridge/Phoenix Phall Phunfest at the beginning of October! I've been going up there every year for the past 10 years now, crappy weather or not (that rain last year was the major suck!)
