I just found out about Hedrin. Has anyone here used it or know someone who has?
Hedrin
hmm.. contains dimeticone..
perpaps the parastites will just slip off?
I've actually sent an email asking about that ingredient. I've heard of dimethicone but not dimeticone. Is that, perhaps, a British spelling? Follow the link for a humorous description. It seems it may be dimethicone and silica gel.
What is dimeticone
Hi Victor,
this British product seems to contain 4% dimethicone. Anti-Frizz gels contain a lot more than that. Dimethicone does not need to be shampooed out after eight hours.
I think, as a 4% solution, it is overpriced (50ml = £4.25 = $7.00), since 30 mL or one ounce of Anti-Frizz gel (concentrated dimethicone) costs about the same.
If I or someone I know ever gets lice, I'd recommend giving Frizz-Ease or another brand of dimethicone/cyclomethicone a try. If it fails, I'd advise people to use a "conventional" anti-lice product or method within a day.
Hope that was helpful.

I read a bit on studies for this product. From what I can tell, the product performs slightly less effectively than standard lice killers. The advantage is the lack of side-effects. I also contacted the company inquiring about the spelling dimeticone (vs. dimethicone). I was told that the spelling dimeticone was standardized in 2003. A quick google search shows that this standard usage is far from common yet.
