Firstly, thank you to all those ppl who made this board a reality! There is so much illwill towards us with long hair it's impossible to share with others the joy of it all. Introductions- I'm a Hong Kong teenager who is obsessed with long hair but couldn't grow it very long due to- you guessed it- opposition from very stupid teachers. Despite the fact that the school founder had waist length hair! Besides, I had to take a public oral examination, with stuck up examiners who felt long hair belonged to the middle ages, so i cut it shorter. Well, I was not to be stopped in my quest for length, and i went to the salon this summer...
Obviously, the purpose was not to get a trim. Now, I know all of you love hair, and it may upset you somewhat that i cheated, but I got an extension. (I was shoulder-length before the exam thing, but cut it much shorter) Pictures are worth a thousand words, if that;s how the saying goes?
you definately look good with long hair...keep growing i know you will!
Thanks man! Never heard that one before, not from all those longhair-slayers we have at school. Anyways, I'm just curious to know if any of you have used a hair extension to help get past the awkward stage? I imagine it would've saved a lot of the embarrassment. And, one more thing- I can't tell all of you how much I envy you guys!
Interesting idea, to leap frog the awkward stage. It looks natural in the picture.
Sorry to hear you have such difficulties with your school's attitude toward the hair, but I can definitely understand what it's like. I am a middle school teacher in Republic of Korea and the standards are very strict about students' hair.
