I've been a long time follower of these boards for a couple of years now at least. I figured I'd finally introduce myself. About 2.5 years ago this site was a huge help in my hair growing experience. I eventually grew my hair out to about 3 feet of length. Unfortunately I decided to chop it all off for a couple of reasons. I wanted to donate my hair, I was moving back to FL and needed to find a job ASAP, and the biggest reason, I wanted to see if I liked short hair over long hair.
It's been 7 months, and I've had it short the whole time, however, I think it's time to grow it out again, as I truely don't feel whole with out my long hair. When I get some more time I'll post a few pics of before and after, as well as a now pic. But for now I just wanted to say hi.
Oh and the second go around for growing long hair has got to be easier than my first, no longer do I have to look in the mirror ever single morning and hope to see some change.
From another newbie, welcome! I've been in exactly the same place. I grew my hair to 18 inches, cut it off 6 years ago. I'm now growing again, and I am more relaxed about it. No more tucking it behind my ears, or trying to conceal it with a cap.
