Toying with the idea. My wife has nagged me for years and I think I am ready. Any tips? I know that there must be some uncomfortable moments ahead. Thanks.
Hi Leo,
If your wife is with you, that's 90 percent of the battle. Ignore all others! Enjoy growing!

Don't cut it until you've reached a length you're happy with.
Two words: Awkward Stage
Depending on how long your hair already is, you'll enter this stage within about 6 months, and then have about a year to live through it before your hair starts behaving more under its own weight. You're likely going to get all kinds of advice on how to deal with it. Personally, I used to just wet my hair down, slicked it all back, and then drown it in hairspray. It was stiff as straw, but it never moved!

Good luck, and welcome to the board.
Hi Leo,
if you are toying with the idea, and if your wife concurrs, congratulations! If you want, check out the links on the top of the main page.
Happy growth!

Totally go for it. If your hair is curly, it will take longer, and the awkward stage will last longer. But long curly hair looks very impressive. If your hair is straight, it will be a lot easier and faster. Long straight hair is also impressive though.
