Hi all:
Just a quick note from hot and humid -- but beyond wonderful -- Mérida, on the Yucatán peninsula of México. I'm spending the month of July here studying Mayan culture and Latin American literature. While there aren't nearly as many longhairs here as there are back home in Asheville, NC, I've still seen several guys with longhair on the streets, and some in commercials on TV (including one commercial on MTV-LA about a guy taking casual Friday to an extreme). I haven't received any odd looks or comments about my hair, as people here are very accepting, with a "live-and-let-live" attitude.
I don't have any progress pics of me here yet, but I'm blogging a few times a week at the link below, and from there you can go to my Flickr page with several photos.
Cheers,
Jeremy (or Jeremías, as they're calling me here)
i went to the Mayan Ruins in Calica. i think those ruins inspired the plot in Sonic Adventure lol it was cool. i hope you enjoy your stay there. buenas dias
Sonic Adventure lol! I'm an insane fan of the series, from the Genesis days to his "adventures" on the PS2 (yep, even Shadow the Hedgehog). I'm really looking forward to the PS3 game; I just hope they don't give Silver and Shadow too many levels. I need speed, lol.
What about you? Fan? Casual player?
oh yea hehe i'm a BIG fan of the games (even the cartoons :p)...mostly the ones involving Super Sonic lol...i think Sonic 3 & Knuckles was the best game they ever made bc all the players got Super forms...plus the additional Hyper forms hehe so far i've played (and fully beaten)
Sonic
Sonic 2
Sonic 3 & Knuckles
Sonic CD
Sonic 3D Blast
Sonic R
Sonic Adventure
Sonic Adventure 2
Sonic Advance (still can't get super sonic though =/)
Sonic Advance 2 (same here lol)
there's a rumor that the Sonic Team is going to add the Hyper forms again in the new game. i hope it's true lol here's to hoping Hyper Sonic makes an appearance lol
I was there for a week back in Sept. of '88. Two weeks after Hurricane Gilbert passed through. Nice city!

Hola! Jeremais!
It can't be much hotter there than it is here!!! So glad to hear from you. Looks like your Spanish career is well coming to fruition. That is wonderful. I am sure the high humidity is making some impressive waves and curls in your hair.
