A small girl in Japan had her cut off with scissors by an unknown woman last week. The police are looking for her. Thankfully this sort of thing is rare.

After reading this post, I thought, it is a weird conduct on the part of that lady who cut off this little girl's hair. If the lady did not know the girl, I would have thought that she kept the hair for some perverted reason.
Should a long-haired boy have been the victim, people would have sided with the pervert for "helping the community get rid of this eyesore". No charges would have been laied against the haircutter because "he was doing what society thinks is right."
