Uhm well i went to my guitar lesson and it went by well as usual but at the end my teacherinformed me that he needs me to play sweet home alabama with him and one of his other students....and since im the only other one thats learnt it recently and since its my last chance to play the concert before school finishes i should really do it...well after the guilt treatment i caved in and agreed...the concerts only 4 days away!!!!! (its a concert the school runs where the schools concert and show bands play some pieces and the occasional small group piece like the one my friend did that im now roped into...mostly parents other music students and parents watch)
im so terrified...the only other time ive played for a crowd is my teachers usual yearly guitar students show where just parents watch and tonsof other small groups play on the same day....where the only ones doing a piece like this and it will be my first time playing standing up (only me my friend..teacher singing/bass and drums)...i guess i could consider this my first real gig even though theres no ppay involved.
uhm anywways do you tihnk hairspray would be all thats needed to keep my fringe back becuase it just falls over my eyes easily when im looking down at the frets...cuas i dont want to wear fixings or a bandanna as its kinda innapropriate...also will it change how the hair looks much? or look obvious..never really used spray
try the spray while being in the same position you will be in for the concert (standing or sitting) and see if it will work before the concert. I guess your bangs aren't long enough to put behind your ears then.
Good luck with the concert, I hope it helps that at least you have two others on the stage with you, that might make it less terrifying. And no matter what happens remember that you were the one to go up there on the stage so that already makes you braver then anybody in the audience!
Dude, there is NOTHING better than shredding in front of a crowd. You'll do fine, good luck.
Unless your hair interferes with your guitar playing, dont worry about it. Like houseplants, hair just loves good music and will look it finest ! HA!
Seriously, if your hair does bother you while playing, ask a friend or hairdresser to spray and/or pin your hair in place, make sure it is secure and then forget about everything, focus on your music and play your best.
Best of Luck, ("Break a Leg") and let us know how it goes.
