I'm going to show my true nerdiness now... the only Tesla I know is the one after whom the measurement of magnetic flux is named! LOL
Somehow, I don't think that's the one you mean...

Tesla was/is a metal band that was pretty popular back in the late 80's/very early 90's.
I actually think they did name themselves after the scientist though!

Holy $#!+! They still holding those? Do they also still have the boat races on the Rock River? I am originally from Beloit, WI myself (and still have much family there), so that brings back some seriously fond memories! I remember going to these when I was a kid all those many years ago.
For those that don't know who Tesla is, they are a 80's hard-rock/metal band. They've put out some pretty good stuff. I sure would not mind seeing them myself, if given the chance.
Hey Skibump, yea they still have the riverfest every year, and it seems like they keep getting better and better! back in 2004 Alice Cooper came here unfortunatley I missed that show!. So where do you reside now?
I am now in Fredericksburg, VA (about 50 miles south of Washington, D.C.). That had to of been pretty sweet to see Tesla in friggan Beloit of all places! It has been so long ago since I've been to one of those that I don't even remember who as playing back than (in the 70's). To give you an idea how far back that goes, I remember when the Beloit Mall was still the Beloit Plaza, an open-aired type shopping center. I've been in Beloit from time to time since I moved from the area, but the last time I was there was in 1999 for my cousin's wedding. I'd still like to get back and visit again, although Beloit does not exactly rank high as a tourist/vacation spot, considering the city is primarily an industrial city.
