Hey there fellows!
So I made it to post my pictures from this month today =) I had a problem since I couldn't find my pen, and that's why I'm a couple of days late with the update... Oh well...
Today I'm bringind you new pictures of my hair, as some topsy turvy pictures (credit to Karsten for this ones... hope you don't mind =P), some spreaded hair picture as well, a side braided picture (yay!!) and also a braid made with the hair of my sister and I... =)
Well, I've posted some news already some threads down today... I still have to say that I discovered that one of the main reasons for my scalp itchings and my scalp wounds is sweating... Everytime I sweat, the itch begins =( Anyways, I've been handling the situation with Nizoral which is really good =)
I've been also using a detangling and solar protection hairspray whcih is incredibly good! Leaves the hair so smooth even after a day at the swimming pool or at the beach... it's incredible =)
Ok here we go for the pictures!!! I'm sorry they were taken inside but it was too hot to take them outside... I'll post some landscape pictures from the north of the country later on then =) So here goes...
Me from the front... I have to say I don't like this picture much since I hadn't shaved for almost two weeks then lol... But here it is, with my hair hanging down at my shoulders =)
Now from the side... I never notice any diference from this pictures from the side lol
And the back picture... I always get surprised by this one... Thankfully =)
Now my hair in a ponytail from the side...
And from the back... the ponytail is a bit out of place, I know... lol!
Now my hair in a half-tail =) I love this style!
Now finally you get to see my side-hanging braid! Do you think I could wear it outside already?? Of course I still have to pin some hair from the side oposite to the braid... What do you think??
Now my sister's hair from the back! Long and silky as always =)
And her ponytail... This picture came out really well =)
Now this is a refreshing style I do on my sister's hair so she doesn't melt lol...
Now my hair in a topsy turvy picture... =P I kinda like it =D
And my sister's hair on a topsy turvy as well...
My hair spreaded lol... I look scary hehe...
And now a braid made from two heads of hair... me and my sister!
Now... may I present you my cousin's hair... with doubled lenght this year!!! Isn't she a great inspiration for curlies? =P
Here is her hair in a ponytail... Lovely isn't it?
And her hair stretched... how is it possible it grew so fast... =|
And finally the last picture... Me and my sister =) As always, eternal love beteween sister and brother =)
Now I have some really bad news... You saw my cousin's hair. You know the dream of every girl in my family was always to grow their hair like one of my cousin's who has pocahontas hair lol Butt lenght straight dark hair, I showed a pic already =) But now, finaly my cousin got what she always wanted but... She wants to cut it off =( I already tried to convince her not too but it's her own choice and it seems she really wants to cut it... oh well, what a waste of hair =( =( =(
I really hope you liked the pictures... Lately it's been so hot that i had to take the pictures at night at the window... Tomorrow I'm going to the beach to spend the day under water lol... Feel free to add comments, it's always so nice to read =)
I have to say... ONCE again, that I owe my hair to this forum... I love what I have now and I hope it will grow forever... No matter the heat, the sheding, nothing else matters now. It's only growing and growing now... Trust me, I'll acomplish my goal =) I'm so proud of all this months I've spent... they were so worth it!! Thank you guys for all your suport and all your help...
I wish the BEST to everyone of you =) =) =)
João,
Thanks for such great pics!!! I always look forward to your updates, because you have so many nice pics of you and your beautiful sister. Your hair looks absolutely gorgeous. I really like that pic with the braid, too; it's a very nice look for you.
Too bad about your cousin's hair -- she is (or was!) an inspiration for curly-heads everywhere.
Keep up the great work. I wish you much love and happiness.

Ok, João, you win the award hands down for the most creative, entertaining, awe-inspiring and I have to say, endearing updates!
I do prefer the outside pics as you do but sometimes inside is the only option. I can't get over your growth rate - it's fantastic! Each month there is a very noticeable increase.
As always, it's wonderful to see your beautiful sister as well and the photo of the intermingled braid was so sweet!
I can't imagine why your cousin wants to cut her hair but oh well, what can you do?
Thanks for sharing, and on to waist length!
Jason
Hi João, Hi everybody,
Too bad I can't see the pictures, I don't seem to get any signal from João's image server at img.villagephotos.com . I tried to contact their IP number directly ( 216.218.135.134 ; dynamically assigned according to samspade.org), but I got nothing back from them, trying two different internet providers.
Does anyone know a trick that would make it possible for me to see these great pictures?
Hans-Uwe
Looking good!
Don't worry about the "facial fur"; it's just part of growing up. Who knows, maybe someday you'll be able to grow a beard like Oren's (I wish *I* could).
The "topsy-turvy" shot was nice, as was the "I look scary" photo. I'll hand it to you -- your captions are just as inspiring as the images themselves! Your "outdoor shots" rock -- you seem to look happier and more relaxed in them than in the seemingly more "clinical" indoor ones. But, if you can't get outdoors without your hair getting drenched in sweat, so be it.
By the by, don't let some of the comments from your relatives up north deter you. You've got a fine mane, and one that seems to just get better with time!
Onwards and "downwards?" Somehow that just sounds wrong, but I trust you get my drift. :-)
Cheers!
Hi João,
thanks for sharing these pictures, you look impressive - and so does your sister! It's so good to see you (and your sister) with great hair, and to see how happy you both are with it. May it grow forever! - The common braid is especially cool!
Best wishes,
Hans-Uwe
Huy, tenho muito ciúme! ;-)>
Tea trança parece muita masculina. Deve ir da cidade no jeito. O gosto. É um estilo bom pra ôce.
Vôce e tea irma são tão simpaticos!
Obrigado e espero que o tempo faz mais frio logo. É muito quente aqui tambem.
Adeus, Bragi
It's getting really long. congrats dude =)
Your hair looks better all the time! Keep it up; don't ever cut it.
Lovely set of pics. You have so much hair creativity.
I really love the double braid pic with you and your sis, it's fantastic. Your sister's hair is look gorgeous. What is the secret to such a loving, happy relationsip with your sibling?
I wish i knew, lol. As an anology, me and my sister are like positive and negative, two totally different people.
Mad, i would DIE for your cousin's hair!!!
She is insane to cut off those dark, thick, moist looong curls.
If only i could transplant them to my own head, lol.
Thanks for sharing as always, Cheers Jean.
Thanks for sharing a great set of pictures. You have such wonderful hair. It is looking more like your sisters with every post you share with us.
I like the hair on all of you and the pictures are very creative
Keep it up.
*jaw drops* *bounces down steps* *excuse me a while.*
All righty, back. Now, then, where were w-- *jaw drops again* This is a common theme, isn't it? Ooh, back down those 10-storey stairs again.
If that didn't say it for you, then I will *holds jaw intact*. Your hair is simply stunning from month to month, and this update is no different. My favorite pic is your attempt at a braid - it looks a lot better than the first pic of one you shared with us, and rates quite high on the jealousy meter for me and surely many other people on this board. The double braid you did with you and your sister is just incredible. The patience and trust it takes to do something like that shows that the braid is more than just a bond of hair, but a bond of something else as well. Your sister is looking as princess-like as ever, and with that hair and that top, she has a sort of modern-day fantasy princess appearance to her. Very nice, very nice indeed.
Your cousin's hair is very nice as well, and is indeed a bit of an inspiration to me and 80's. I believe both 80's and I have fairly tighter hair than she does, but she proves that curly hair can reach impressive lengths, and that it can look sensational when it does. It's just too bad that she's cutting it, particularly when she just fulfilled her family hair groal. But as Calvin's dad once said, the anticipation of having something is often more fun than actually having it (note lack of quotes :P. My memory marksmanship is poor tonight, lol). In other words, when you get what you want, the fireworks slowly fade away, and as you stare at the smoke fading in the sky, you ask, "is this is?" and the joy begins to wane. How short is she cutting it, anyway?
Best of luck to you for your next update, although you of all people won't need it! And may you and your sister remain this close as long as you live. It's such a beautiful relationship, made all the more beautiful because you're family.
Peace, my friend
Yo, J.D., simply beautiful brother & sister progress pictures from over the past almost-two-years! Whoa. I cannot WAIT to achieve my previous length of sixteen inches now. More encouragement. Thank you. And thanks, Absalom, for the half-an-inch-per-month calculation. Nice to-your-kness-almost picture, too. How many years IS that?!
I actually STILL think my hair growth rate's an inch a month. Welllllll, we shall see, won't we!? Keep your fingers crossed.
Once again, Joao David, good goin'! And, I, too, am sorry that your sister has plans to sheer her gorgeous hair, if she hasn't already. Aah, the capriciousness of youth!
Joao -
I can so well remember you when you first began posting several years back. What you have shown today leaves me absolutely speechless. No words can I find to express to you my happiness for your hard earned results as well as the beautiful photos of your sisters hair..............and very nice of your aunt as well!
And of the braid, I am very partial for that look. With your hair you can pull off anything.
Thanks for sharing these photos with us. One of the greatest inspirations I have ever seen in my almost 4 years here. You have proven to all what long hair does for a Man.
Justin~
Hey João, your hair is looking fantastic. You have done very artistic photos. Your "conjoined twin" braid is very original, I have never seen anything like it. Try to stay cool. The beach sounds perfect, enjoy.
Absalom
You and your family are blessed with fantastic hair, I hope you continue to grow and enjoy yours for years to come.
Amazing!

I see you have the anti-gravity curl thing going on at the ends of your hair on the back ..... me too ..... I hate it !!!
How does your sister get her her to be so straight ??
PS - I wish I had a little sister :(
Looks good man but what about letting your sister put in a french braid and show us. I bet you would look great.
As usual, you hair looks beautiful. Keep it growing.
Great looking hair! (you, your sister and your cousin!) Beautiful pictures! Thanks for sharing.
Bruce
You got the same hair I got.
Looks great. Your sis is looking great, too. ;D Keep growing!
Why don't you have your sister put in a french braid and let us see it. It would look great. Also, why not have to braids tails on your half tail that would look good too. Let us see that too both on the front back and side.
