well ive upgraded my headphones from a mono pair to a sterio pair
lol j/k :P
but seriously i dont know much bout speakers but that thing on the table that seems to have a glass case round it looks pretty fancy
That "thing" with the class case is a very high-end turn-table (record player). Yes, believe it or not, there are still quite a few people that still listen to (and swear by) actual vinyl records, as well as tube amplification. I've listened to some of those types of setups myself, and they do sound very nice indeed.
i agree vinyl has a cool organic more percussive sound to me
i can beleive the tube thing since tube guitar amps are usually favored over solid state becuase they have "that tone" they also are much louder sounding per watt than solid state somehow.....the only person i can name off the top of my head who prefers solid state is dimebag darrel.
I once worked sound in a venue that was outfitted with Klipsch mains, subs and wedges, driven by QSC amps and fed by an Allen & Heath board. Nice. Very nice.
I also knew a guy with a set of Lascalas and a set of Cornwalls. Also very nice.

I've been sorry off and on (when I am reminded of them) that I didn't buy a pair of Klipsches years ago when they weren't well known and were cheap(er).
they were always in beautiful cabinets of real wood, not particle board, and looked and sounded great.
