My hair is getting almost to jaw length ..... and seems to be getting tangly and kinda sticky which it never did when it was short .....
Tresemme Conditioner works a treat after washing ..... but is it OK to use just conditioner on its own and leave Shampooing out ???
hey, thats what I do...I use shampoo about 1x a week...and I use conditioner EVERYday to help my hair feel more softer and not as dry. It works for me. I think it's ok :)
You should be using shampoo periodically, as the shampoo is what 'cleans' your hair; it contains surfactants that strip away oil and dirt. The conditioner primarily adds lubrication to the hair, usually as fatty alcohols.
Yes, it's fine. If you're still shampooing your hair at all, you should definitely wash your hair only with conditioner some days, unless your hair is so straight/oily that it can't take not being shampooed daily. Conditioning it in this way will add some softness and moisture to your hair, some of which will remain over time if you keep up a routine of conditioning.
There are some people, such as myself, that don't shampoo at all, and only use conditioner (I use a "clarifier," which in my case is apple cider vinegar, as a less harsh scalp-cleaning agent), others that only use clarifiers, and still others that use nothing at all. So don't worry if anyone says shampoo is an essential. I don't think this was what you were asking, but in case you were, there ya go.
Hope that helps.
Peace
Before dreads I used to condition wash much more often than using shampoo. It worked pretty good for me.

You might have some "Split Ends" of which you are not aware? These can really do a number on you and should be targeted and removed.
Otherwise, perhaps try Baby Shampoo followed by Conditioner. It might help alot. Good luck.
Cool, thanks for the replies !
I actually "wash" my hair only ..... once a month !!
(No I don't smell like horse manure :D)
In the shower I use just water and give my head a good scrub - shampoo seems to make my hair go crazy !!
Gets dry like you wont believe, sticks up all over the place and takes about a week to calm down again
Was thinking Conditioner just once a week would be a better idea ..... I don't know if my hai really does need "cleaning" like a proper Shampoo would do as I live a pretty laid back life with a standard Office type job and have little contact with "dirt" !!
