Hi all!
Funny thing happened to me this week. I put my pic on Skype. In our IT department, we have to support Skype users in our company and of course, we are the guinea pigs for the software.
What I figured was I might get a Skype or two, if I put my photo as the Skype icon. What a huge mistake. In one week, I have had over 200 women from China all trying to contact me. I had a hard time getting work done. I should not have selected 'Skype Me'.
What has this got to do with long hair? Everyone of them assumed that since I had long hair and was working a good job, that I was capable of surviving any corporate environment and would make it to the top. One of them even asked if I would take an expatriate job to China and marry her. She has become a real nuisance and I'll have to set her straight.
On the upside, longhairs are considered artists there, and if anything, I would be mistaken for a rock star.
Could you post a newer photo of yourself? It would be cool to see what you look like now. You've been posting that same photo here for several years.

That's very interesting! I wondered what would happen if I set "Skype Me". I have the same picture as my Skype avatar as I do here. Two women from France recently "skyped" me out of the blue without it being set that way. I was at work and didn't have time to talk to them. Not sure how that happened.
