Hello there. I have been growing my hair for almost 2 years without any trims or cuts. Recently, I noticed that I have numerous split ends. Does it mean that I should go and get a trim?
If so, how much hair should I cut off?
Same happened to myself at about your 2 year mark. Just go and have the "Splits" individually targeted and cut just above the split. No other hairs...........ONLY the "Split-Ends." You will notice a great differance to be rid of those little nastys.
I would suggest that you tell them to take maybe 1/4 of an inch off the ends only all the way around. That should be plenty to take care of any and all split ends. Just make sure to emphasize "the ends only". But, I think it would work best just to clean up those ends all the way around so that everything is even. And that 1/4 of an inch will come right back within just a couple of weeks. Only when it does, it will feel and look better.
