Im wondering, is it possible to color black hair without damage, or is that impossible? I have seen chinese people with dyed hair and they look like barbie hair....
I think you would have to bleach it first, not a very good thing for the hair...

It's tough (I have very dark brown hair- tried it once). The darker the hair, the harder to get noticeable color change.
Like the other poster said, it's a two-step process- first you have to bleach it lighter, then dye it.

All you have to do is use some "spray-on" colour that can be washed right out. The type little kids (and even older) like to play around with and comes in a can marked non-toxic. This should be safe enough. About 3.00 a can I think. Great for Halloween when most use it.
