I met a lady who digs long hair on guys. I was considering getting it cut similiar to the dude in the pic. glad I changed my mind.
btw, why is it that Gay guys have short hair?
In general, most gay men are attracted to masculine men, and they see long hair on men as a sign of femininity.
In general, I would have to agree (*unfortunately*)...
I might change just one aspect of your wording, though: that of gay men being attracted to "masculine-LOOKING men"...
I can't tell you how many times I've met a nice-looking gay guy who looks pretty dog-gone "butch" (gay term for masculine), --- only to get a completely *opposite* impression, once they open their nellie mouth!

Well, I'm gay, --- and am totally mystified myself as to why this is usually so! I do have my theories, though... Here they are (in no specific odor --- uh, I mean, "order"):
Theory #1 - Short hair must generally go better with their wallpaper and matching curtains, maybe?
Theory #2 - If they already own a poodle, that's already enough hairs shed around the house to deal with!
Theory #3 - Having long hair is well-known to STRENGTHEN one's wrists, rather than to keep them "stylishly" limp...
Theory #4 - Since many a gay man takes great pride in his appearance, especially for standing out as being "differnet" from the herd of other male humanity... he then makes the shockingly bold decision to CUT his hair!
Theory #5 - Personally knowing a lot of gay men (99% of which unquestionably prefer their hair short), --- and none of whom I would seriously consider falling into any of the above theoretical reasons for having their hair so short --- the only reasons I can really come up with are... I guess they think of it as either "practical"; and/or, for some stupid reason, must think it "looks good"...
Which takes me back to my original answer: I sure as heck don't "get" it, either!!

The kind of a question unless an intensive study were done will probably never be known.
A thought however: Proportion-wise, the Straights out-number the Gays, but by how much naturally I would not know. Short hair at present has been the "in thing" in the eyes of the masses who follow what all the other Sheep are doing for fear of not fitting-in with the crowd. What they see on magazine covers and reading articles about what is "best(?)" I feel has a good deal to do with all of this as people tend to want to all be "in fashion." They cannot think for themselves all that well so go by what the magazine says. The article could have been written by anyone. But people being what they are.........if they see something in print tend to believe all. If seen only in hand-written manuscript form (unpublished) it would be dismissed.
