Hey Oren, can you make this my new avatar or aviator or whatever its called?
Today is my official 16 month aniversary..and I took the glasses off..I think I look better without them. Hopefully in the next few years I'll have laser eye surgery.
Cheers to all
Buddy
great hair. looking happy as always :)
Yes, looks good, a very good avatar choice.
But think twice about the lasik...

OMG, i will never think about it again, lol
Hi Buddy,
you look better and better - at this rate you'll need another avatar again in a few months ;-) Maybe Oren has a morphing program that can update the hair length on avatars automatically, as a function of time :-)
You spelled "avatar" correctly, by the way, i.e. you belong to one more significant minority...
Happy growth forever!
Hans-Uwe
I think the no-glasses look suits you as well.
Looks like you made some good progress, dude. Nice job.
Keep it up!
Peace
Lookin good Buddy, nice progress. You definitely have the most cheerful pics.
When I first posted here 80s suggested contact lenses to me and I was really glad I gave them another try. Would that work for you too?
I thought about lasik and heard the bad stories and when I went to see if I could get it done they told me I failed twice!
Once cause I had bad astigmatism and once cause I have only one good eye!
I left actually relieved not to have to make the choice :)
First, I want to say, cool looking hair.
Now, all this crap talk about LASIK! Geez! To many damn "Chicken Little and the Sky's Falling Down" types around here!
I went through LASIK myself just this past November, and I am damn glad I did! The best $2,500 I spent! I used to wear some serious "coke-bottle" glasses, and now, I am seeing perfect 20/20 without glasses. With all the skiing, swimming and hiking that I like to do, I am glad I no longer have to deal with glasses and such. Nothing more annoying than attemping a difficult slope only to have the glasses fog up behind the goggles! (grrr) Thankfully, that is now a thing of the past for me.
Yes, as with any medical procedure, there are going to be risks involved. However, with the advent of modern technology and so forth, you are more likely to get struck by lightening, hit by a train, and attacked by a shark, all in the same day, than you are likely to run in any serious complications with the LASIK surgery. Especially if you follow the post-op instructions religously. That is, you do exactly as you are told by the doctor(s), especially in the two/three weeks immediatly following.
If you are seriously considering LASIK, I give my full recommendation that you do. Ignore all the "OH MY GOD YOU ARE GOING TO GO BLIND" non-sense you see here and on the net at large. Yes, definitly weight the risks and such, as well as seeing a reputable doctor, but in the end you are more likely to come out a happier person than not. If anybody is curious, I had mine done at the LASIK Plus center in Richmond, VA, and I cannot be happier with the results!
