Probably should of waited till an even 4 months to post but what the heck.
Here is april 10th when I got my last haircut. Yeah the pictures are weird but I took them on that day so I guess their my starting pics

Todays pictures, my hair is always messy these days. Can't wait to get more length.
Good start - perseverance and patience are the main things now. Don't get too worried about it being "messy" it does not look too bad and that will be just a phase. You should be able to keep it fairly tidy at this length.
Growing your sideburns for the present will help to add some balance. They are probably best removed when you get some length but until it is below your ears they help.
Wow, your hair grows fast! It's so thick and a great color too...it will look awesome long.
