Hey, man. Sorry it took me so long to reply to you - I've more or less just come back from a trip, and Internet access was a bit of a luxury there. It's amazing how many posts people can make in a week or two. :P I feel bad that I missed commenting on some of the great progress I saw in some of the lower threads. Oh well, keep it up, everyone.
Also, I hope your recovery continues to improve, although I imagine by now you're all better. Well, get better for a future ailment, then, lol.
Brushing damage is something I'm a victim of too. When I was just entering the awkward stage, I had no idea how to take care of my hair, and unfortunately, neither did my mom, it seems, although it's possible she just wanted me to cut my hair because it would look bad. :P She told me to brush it and indeed bought various heavily damaging brushes for me, though since her hair is straight(ened), she probably just didn't know better (though she insisted that she was old enough to know how to take care of hair, and still does). She once brushed my hair straight, but my hair refused to stay straight for more than a minute, so I ended up looking like some kind of serial killer clown, lol. The sad thing is that months later, my aunt, who's a hairstylist, told me to wet my hair and brush it back, which caused even more problems. I think everybody ultimately had good intentions, but it just goes to show that neither one's age nor one's profession is a definite marker of how much they know.
But your hair looks great, man, especially slicked back. Hardly any damage to talk of.
Yeah, my hair's way looser now than when I started growing. I'm really surprised. Yours will do something similar, especially if you pull it back for a period of time.
I think you should keep the username, btw. Frizzy or not, you're still frizzy hair to most of us, lol. It's a good name, whether it's true or not. I'd like to believe that I'm not really a fallen angel most nights. :P
Peace
