Is there anyone else here that appear to have a little thinner hair on top of the scalp, or someone who has a part wich goes a little farther back?
Well, i don't think that i'm getting bald, because it's been like this for quite a long time and it doesn't exactly seem to get much worse either.
You always notice this when my hair is a bit oily, especially if i want to slick it back in a ponytail, then i have to comb it in a special way to conceal where i part my hair.
Is this normal for some folks or??
I think it's nothing to worry about. For me, I have to wash it more often so the hair gets more volume. It also looks a lot better, and with all the talk about how washing is not needed so often it seems confusing. Also, I comb it carefully so the 'bald' area between the parts is even.
As far as I know, there seems to be two ways to wear a ponytail:
1. The hair is put in the ponytail without combing the hair over the top (http://mateusz-adamowski.qwe.pl/photos/mateusz_adamowski_dlugie_wlosy_kucyk.jpg)
2. The hair is combed over the top and then put in a ponytail(http://www.pre2k.com/bug/images2/ponytail.JPG)
One explanation for the 'bald area' comes from the cowlick part. If the hair is longer, it will weigh itself down, but there are still no hair on the area. Sometimes it can be not so pleasing to touch it when it's long. This is hard to explain. Consider this picture:

And think how it will look if the hair is long. It's a normal thing.
Hey, I was just thinking about posting the same thread because I have the same problem kinda.. My hair is thin and it is noticeable when it rains and my hair is greasy afterwards. Dunno what i can really do about it except wash it and wait for it to try, then it gets more volume. Still I've just started growing out so maybe when there's more hair it will look better
