Although simpa88 posted a thread about his problem I hope it's ok if i do that for rather the same problem... So when it was short it wasn't very noticeable cuz it was spiky but now it's too long to look like needles so you can really see skin on my head... I'm not bald it's just that my hair is thin and on these spots there is not hair and never was.
I wonder how it will look when it gets longer i just hope there'll be enough hair to cover the skin. Another solution is after the shower when it gets all frizzy and has enough volume. It would be better to show you a pic to see what i mean but i cant right now. Any advice pls?
thanks
Well, to rephrase what I said in the other thread, washing every day or maximum every other day helps a lot. You could also try a conditioner (I have yet to lay my hands on one). But, of course, a picture would probably help.
not necisarilly.
it depends how oily it gets and how fast.
Yes, certainly. But from the description it sounds like his hair gets oily and loses volume pretty fast.
Have you tried a shampoo directly targeted for thin hair to increase volumn? Aussie has a great one........or their one called "Mega Hair." After the shampoo put in lots of conditioner and let it stay for 5-10 minutes before wahing it out. BUT, do not wash all out. Instead leave a little residue behind. Hope this does the trick.
Are you referring to Aussie mega instant shampoo and Aussie mega instant conditioner? Im sure thats not formulated for thin hair?
Well then, let's just skip any and all thoughts of "Mega" for now and go for the exact:
1.) AUSSIE REAL VOLUMN SHAMPOO for Fine/Thin Hair.
2.) AUSSIE REAL VOLUMN CONDITIONER for Fine/Thin Hair.
is it advisable to leave some conditioner residue in for all conditioner types?
Thanks for the advice everyone. The only problem is if I'll be able to find the shampoo and the conditioner because I've never seen them here and I live in Bulgaria... Otherwise I'd have to order them online which isn't possible since I don't have a credit card and my parents are weird lol
I have the same thing, its a spot at the top of my head where the hair is thin and you can see a little bit of my scalp. After reading around here mostly i learned this was a "crown", and its actually quite common to have. My hair is about shoulder length and i really dont worry about the spot at all, nobody else even notices it, only you do really.
My hair is the same as yours, fine and thin, i typically dont shampoo until i actually have to (i.e. work, out with girlfriend, friends, etc.) and my hair gets rather greasy and its more visible then, but even then a little comb or brush or even just messing up the area with your hand can help.
When i do wash my hair though, its really hardly visible at all, its positioned so that it actually looks kinda like its the part of my hair not a crown.
All in all, dont worry about it too much, concentrate more on the rest of your hair and make that look good.
Yes, exactly! So it's a crown then. It is a spot on my head and it is visible to many people when I haven't washed my hair and it's got greasy and puffy. Of course, when I shower all that is history but it's still annoying when people sometimes ask me if I'm bald. I guess the only thing that works is that I wash my hair more often and use more volume increasing products.
