Finally got around to doing something Ive been putting off for over 6 Months and gave my hair a trim. I took off as little as possible, only enough to even out the ends of the hair or remove ends that were unruly and now that Ive finished my hair feels 100% better. Now where there were previously snags and tangles when combing there are none and the best part is you cant tell Ive trimmed my hair at all, I would say that that was definitely an hour well spent ^_^
In other news I have been mistaken for a girl/woman twice in a week which is strange as it has never happened before.
The first time was when I was at work, a woman who I had my side to thought I was a woman and when she said Hello and the reply she got came from a voice which was deeper then she was expecting she stopped, looked, thought and then apologised explaining she thought I was a woman (which I would have never known had she not told me) and said that I looked lovely anyway and wandered off.
The second time was today when I was in a restaurant, the waitress brought the meal and complained that the guy who took the order needed his eyes testing as he had said the meal was for The youngish looking woman and her daughter (once again we would have never known this had she not told us), she then proceeded to tell my Mum that it was a compliment for her, but not so much for the young Gentleman.
And my final point for the night is: In a few days my hair will reach the 23 Month mark and Im starting to get pretty psyched as I get closer to the two year mark.
Thanks for reading the rather long post.
Hex.
Hi Hex. I'm curious to see your hair, after the trim. Maybe you can post some 2two-year progress pics, when you get there.
Kind of funny about the being-mistaken-for-a-woman thing... not funny that it happened, but that it happened twice in a week. Oh well... On a related note, I was waiting in line in a sandwich shop recently, and the guy who called me to the counter said, "What can I get for you today, man?" But I thought he said, "Ma'am." I wondered if he was singling me out because I had long hair, and I was also self-conscious because there were several other customers there. Should I get indignant? Should I say, "You mean, 'sir'?" All this is going through my head in a split second, but fortunately, I just calmly stepped to the counter and placed my order, thinking perhaps I had misheard him. He said it again later during the transaction, and it startled me once more, but by then I realized that he was saying "man" and not "ma'am." Since then, I've realized he says it all the time to customers. A bit too casual, but Americans are like that sometimes.
