On the LOST forum Jorge Garcia said they use that in his hair, and his hair is extremely curly.
This time growing my hair out im not making any mistakes, I figure when it gets long enough I may as well try this.
Looking back in retrospect I did a lot of retarded stuff to my hair; trying to straighten it, blow drying it for about 4 months every day 0_0 i even combed right through it while it was dry curly and knotted.... bleh this time will be different.

Friends:
Perhaps it would be easier to respond if it were possible to find out what you are referring to. Curly hair can be a mess, and straightening it can be damaging. The only solution is to find a way to let it grow, and when it gets longer the wait will pull it in a more orderly fashion.
One solution, however, is to learn to roll your hair on one inch rollers, and let it dry. When you remove the rollers you will discover that your hair is basically straight with a slight wave. Come it out in the way you like. A little spray may help at this point if you have one without scent.
Then at night pin your hair with old fashioned bobby or roller pins, and, or wear a do rag, and in the morning your hair should be OK. Brush and go. Unless you are doing something to make you sweat, your hair will be OK for a couple of days, but once it gets wet with perspiration then it is back to the rince (forget shampoo for a while) condition, and roll.

I've never tried that before, but I know that Kiehl's is known for making really high quality products.
Having curly hair can be an interesting ride, for sure! I found that my hair looked MUCH better and got constant compliments when I quit straightening it and started wearing it curly and loose (as opposed to a slicked-back ponytail). I've been using a mousse by FrizzEase that I really like lately. It defines curls and adds a bit more staying power than my old one. I also use Sprunch Spray by Aussie. I know a lot of posters recommend using less products, especially if they have alcohol in them, but I find my hair looks shinier and healthier and holds a tighter, less frizzy curl when I use a few good products (I admit, I'm a product junkie). :)
