I am so sick and tired of my hair. Not that I don't like long hair, but it's attracting the wrong attention. I get some people telling me to cut my hair, others talk to be and then take a glance at my hair. It's nothing special, all it is is black with barely visible red-brown highlights on a hair that's a length to my lower cheek bone. Not when it's wet, when it is wet, my front hair goes down to my bottom lip. But I have been having these serious problems with my hair:
1. At the front, my right side of my hair (parted at the middle) is straight down to my cheek with a curl at the end. BUT my left side takes a loop from the top to the top of my cheek-bone. I tried to straighten it using a straighting iron, but alas....no good.
2.I've been told my hair is odd. It goes from my middle part down to my cheek and then that's it. It seems boring.
3. When My hair goes over my ears, when someone looks at my from the front, they can see where my ears are because my hair goes over my ears thus causing a huge bump on my sides. I tried putting that hair behind my ears but here's what happens. I comb that hair behind my ears so it won't take those huge bumps. Then I take some gel and gel the hair going behind my ears and the back of my head(so it'll stay there). But then the gel dries, and my hair in the back grows thick and kinda huge. Atleast it stays behind my ears.
Is there anything that will keep my hair have the wet look without it being dry? Because Gel gives the look, but it feels crispy.
George:
Definitely sounds like you are in the wretched stay of growing your hair out. What's happening now, may not be what happens when it is even longer. So if you do any cuts now, you'll never know. If no one said anything negative to you about your hair would you still feel the way you do? If not, then disregard what the rest say and decide
if YOU LIKE your hair. Many people on this board have gone thru the painful stage (middle phase) that you are going thru. In the future the weight of your hair as it gets longer will have some affect on how it falls over your head. Moouse may be an option right now as it doesn't get "cripsy". Stay the course for a few more months and then see how YOU feel then. Happpy growing!! Bill
