  I will be having surgery to repair my brow and to remove excess upper lid tissue. This kind of surgery is usually regarded as "plastic surgery", but in my case, is to restore lost peripheral vision and to irradicate a host of symptoms caused by the excess weight on my upper lids.

  Have any of you known anybody who has had plastic surgery around the eyes? If so, how long did it take for the swelling to go down enough for them to function?

      Not really. He said it varies from person to person, and avoided giving me a timeframe (probably to protect himself).

    I had such surgery before... didnt work all too well but I guess it depends. Costs about 2000 dollars and takes about a week or 2 to heal up.
