I have read a few posts mixed in with everything recently about using baby shampoo. I guess it makes sense. Less potent, more gentle, less damage, right? My hair gets kinda greasy feeling and looking after 24 hours, and I'm forced to shampoo more often than i'd like. Is switching to baby shampoo a good choice for me then. More often shampooings but less damage each time?
I still am curious about Garnier products because of their awesome reputation on this board. My ex-gf bought some recently and said it hasnt made a single difference in the 2 months she's used it. Anyways, comments appreciated
There used to be one with super long hair "Resonance" who posted here who used Baby Shampoo exclusively. It is difficult to argue when you see success like that! Mild as it is, it apparently gets the job done without all the chemicals so many guys worry about.
I'm probably the one who has mentioned baby shampoo lately. my situation is that my scalp puts out a fair amount of oil and if I don't wash or just do a rinse my hair starts looking kind of greasy by mid-day. it probably isn't long enough to wick everything away. I've tried combing it out and everything, but it doesn't help that much. so i have to do one lather a day and I tried 2 or 3 shampoos including garnier fructis and they all seemed to strip off too much because my hair would get snaggy. they are probably okay if you lather 1 or 2 times a week. the only thing I found that was okay for every day was the b.s. I mentioned (ha ha) along with aussie mega conditioner.
Baby shampoo might be more gentle on the eyes, but it's actually harsher on your hair. It is definately not more gentle on your hair.
If you have long hair, stay away from baby shampoo!
