I just managed to get a picture of myself with my dad's digital camera, so I thought I'd post it. The photo doesn't show the length, but I think my hair looks pretty healthy in this pic, taken shortly after I washed my hair earlier today.
I've also been growing a beard this summer. It's looking alright.
You have a terrific hair colour! At least I like it but I've always wondered how some people's hair is straight at the beginning for like 10 cms near the roots and afterwards gets curly. Do you know why? Or you've just curled it with a curling device?
Well, you might be confusing hair growing out with hair that's already there. In other words, hair that's curly at the ends but straight at the top was (unless it's been chemically treated somehow) curly when it was short, but as the strands get longer and heavier, they hang down more and the curl near the root is loosened, to the point that it can look totally straight. The ends will remain curly, though.
Or it could be the result of a new haircare routine, or the reaction of the hair to something, etc. For example, my hair became curlier once I stopped shampooing it.

Thanks. This is just always how my hair has been. When it was short it was straight, and then when it got to about ear length it started to curl up on one side, making it very awkward. Eventually when I grew it out it just became curly like it is in the photo.

Very cool, man. You've really gotten some excellent length going there. I remember when your hair was just touching your shoulders. :P Wish mine would do that more.
The beard is coming along, and it suits your face. You planning to just see how it goes for the summer and keep it if you like it, or are you gonna shave it off eventually?
Oh, and how're the braids coming? I remember you posted a cool pic of them a while back.

Thanks. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the beard. My facial hair is getting thicker so I think I might stick with it for a while until I get sick of it, just because I can finally grow a decent beard. The braids are alright, I usually only wear them for sleep.

I remember when I first visited the forum and I still had short hair... I remember that when i saw your hair I was so envious, and now that I finally achieved the first lenght I saw on your head just look at you... making me envious again! =) Truly, you really came a long way and I really want to see another picture where you show us the lenght =)
I agree with everyone, great hair and great color =) I have to say that I don't like beards, but I suport anyone who wants to go for it so... good luck =)

I don't really get very many comments, and when I do they're always positive. Occasionally someone will mistake me for a woman from behind, but it hasn't happened in a long time. I think the beard has helped, because then there's really absolutely no way to mistake me for a woman, haha.
One time a month or so ago, I was at the diner with some friends and our waitress, before taking our orders, said that my hair was gorgeous. It feels pretty good when a random stranger says I have beautiful hair, haha.
