Hello everyone,
since I started growing my hair from a buzz cut in August 2004, I've considered the 2 years limit as a decisive step towards the 'longhairness'.
Today I have reached this stage, and I wish to share with you this moment with pictures I have just taken.

I have seen so many chinese bleach their hair, and they look like barbie hair... no texture. Also it tangles like crazy when they are that long.

wishing to have something we don't have, to look the way we don't, to be the one we are not, seems to be a powerful desire in our kind.
Many people with straight hair want curly hair and vice versa (myself, I wish I had straighter hair ... but I am who I am)
Many Western people find cool to look for Eastern knowledge or spirituality. Many Easter people find cool to look for Western knowledge or materialism.

Your hair is very thick, and semi-curly, especially towards the middle and ends of your length. Your hair looks to be in good condition. Good progress for 2 years, keeping it growing.

it is straigter at the base because during the day, I'm wearing a ponytail at work. I wish the ends would be a little bit less curly, because it is not very easy to manage ...

Wow! Let your 2 year success be a good lesson for all aspiring to grow their hair long. How anyone could knock long hair as great as what you have attained is about impossible! I can well remember the 2 year mark, and seeing those photos brought back those memories to myself. You will notice by the 3rd year the most dramatic (for the better) change of them all. Glad you made it. Sensational!

Indeed, the 3rd year should allow me to wear a low ponytail - my next target - as a half-tail does not give justice to my thin hair and I have not enough material for braids (not to mention that is seems quite difficult to do :)

Didn't that 2 yrs go by fast? Your hair is looking awesome buddy!! I really like the back and profile views. Long hair really suits you. Iv almost hit the one year mark myself and am very anxious to see what it's going to look like this time next year.

only the last 6 months went by fast - I could high-ponytail my hair. Before ... I tried not to think about it.
