I'm now at 1 year and 5 months and I tried pulling my hair back and I do have a ponytail now! This weekend I'm gonna go look around and see if I can find an elastic band for it...

Congrats, look in the hair dept and look for scunci. They come in all colors. Last a long time. I like to get the ones without a metal clip. What ever you do do not use rubber bands as they will tear your hair.

I noticed a tight feeling when my hair is pulled back, will I get used to that? I'm debating about keeping my long sideburns once my hair is pulled back, not sure if they will look cool or not...
I tried with and without at the same stage and would suggest you shave them off very high mow. That look always seems cleaner.

That's what I've been thinking too, I've had them for now because the hair has been hiding them to a degree but when the hair is pulled back I'm not sure if I like them...

Any drugstore should have a hair(toy) section.
You'll want to avoid the clips that have sharp metal edges that hold your hair, as well as the elastics with metal.
