Anyone seen this news report where they found DEA in shampoo
can cause brain damage?
Uh, that sounds impossible as shampoo does not affect the brain, and impossible because the DEA don't deal with shampoo, but drugs.
I think you mean the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) doesn't deal with shampoo, not DEA. DEA is short for diethanolamine. I heard about the study, and there's an article about it here if anyone is interested: http://www.nbc17.com/health/3280244/detail.html
Interesting article, interesting study, but probably nothing to worry about unless you're an infant. I must say, the best sentence in the article, by far, is "'Depending on the treatment, some mice are stupid, some are not,' said researcher Dr. Steven Zeisel." Yes, that's right people, they've discovered how to make mice stupid!
DEA= Drug Enforcement Agency and they DO get in your shampoo. Remember the threat to ban hemp products?
as for teh danger of a chem in shampoo, you are applying closely to the skin , which can absorb stuff.
