Hello
I have been growing my hair out for the first time for about 9 months now. I used to have med-short hair in my earlier days. I noticed after it got past the bottom of my ears, the tips of my sides and back started to curl outward (but not the bangs for some reason). I'm pretty sure it's not spit ends. If my hair is wet, water weighs down these curls but when it evaporates it gives me a somewhat rediculous look. I tried to blowdry the ends to be straight but after a while they just curl back up. I was thinking to cut them off, but that would mean loosing 1-3 inches in those places. Any ideas?
I think you should let it grow more and see what happens. It's probably just part of the "awkward stage". My hair does this too. I've been growing it (for the first time) for about 5 months and it goes almost past my ears. At the ends it curls outward, but doesn't do it in the bangs. I think it's just because I have curly hair.

I never really thought about it being curly because I would think that there would be more curls per length then I have. But who knows. My hair is about 16-18cm and I sometimes see slight s shaped strands. Sometimes more like w's too. Thanks for the input.
My hair is straight straight straight, but I also have a problem with the ends curling due to them resting on the tops of my shoulders. I'm a big guy and have things in the way of where gravity would normally direct my hair. I am about 8 months into my journey.
Just let it grow. If you cut off the curley ends, the hair will do the same thing once it gets back to that length.

Transition or Awkward stage, i think almost everyone gets it.
