Hi there, I'm new round here - just nine months in to growing my hair after a lifetime of short haircuts. Encouragement welcome as I am at the point where there's an awful long way to go still. I've a question - what's best for preserving good condition and achieving a real shine. Ive had some highlights done to stave of the inevitable greying that comes with being in 50s.
Welcome firethorn (cool name!)
I have not had much luck with getting a shine to my hair either, although I haven't tried oils which I hear can help that, jojoba oil is supposed to be great for hair. I do more "encouragement" than technical help cause I haven't really experimented that much with my own routine :) So go for it firethorn! Pictures are also fun if you have any you want to share.
A number of us have grey to some extent or another. There's nothing wrong with grey, but dye can be hard on your hair. I'd recommend not dying it.
