Hi folks - This may seem like a wierd question but do any of you guys have like a really small bald spot where your hair seems to grow from at the back of your head ?
I am not talking about a bald spot cause of MPB or anything because i always seemed to have had it since i was a kid (now 23) now im growing my hair long - ish it kind of looks strange.
My question really is do you guys check ur crown hair when you do your hair so urs isnt showing ? if you have one at all ?
here is a picture of what im talking about hopefully will make more sense to you :-)

Hi Luciano, welcome. The reason that the crown seems bare is due to to the fact that all the hair strands diverge radially outward from a central point. The hair density in hairs per square centimeter at your crown is the same as elsewhere.

Hey muffinman, does it look like this? They look totally cool. Do you have a photo of yours? (I posted the same double crown photo further down as well.)

As the Emperor of Austria-Hungary said to the actress...
maybe i dont them...it doesent look like in your pic there
It's normal! I was told I have 3 crowns.
Yeah, I hate that spot. It's most pronounced when my hair is wet, so I usually use a mirror to fix the hair over it after I bathe and after I do a ponytail. I don't think it's anything to worry about, but I'd treat that area gently all the same.
This doesn't at all look like a bald spot to me, and as far as I know, every scalp has some sort of a crown... except some have it more pronounced than others.
The crown thing is basically a part of the scalp that isn't covered with the hair from the surroundings, and its size and visibility depends on your hair type and the direction of hair growth in that specific area.
No worries, this is perfectly normal :)
