cotton balls in hair-brush???

  I recently was told by a female friend that she reduces shampoo washings by shoving cotton balls between the bristles of her brush. It moves the oils down and keeps out the excess. Anyone ever try this? does it work?

    Hey Rome...

    That's kind of strange... either waist, my boar bristle brush has cotton balls between it's bristles just naturally, from the dirt I may sometimes have in my hair... Eventually, they are really hard to take out of the brush, but I don't see what are their benefits, sorry =S
