I've tried rinsing and using only conditioner after jogging and it feels very good. Usually, if I wash my hair and go jogging two or three days later, I would keep the water off my hair when showering afterwards, not to damage it. But rinsing + conditioner seems to be more than ok, as I don't get the dirty hair aspect and it feels comfortable.
However, it seems hard to avoid blow-drying. When it gets cold outside and the temperaure inside the house is mild, I feel the need to blow-dry my hair in order to avoid a cold. Otherwise, it can take more than two hours to dry completely. So how bad is blow-drying after all?
IF you get a cold very easily, only then I'd use a blow dryer. Make sure you set the temperature to warm, but not to hot. If your blow dryer only has the hot temperature setting, make sure you keep it at a distance of, at least 30 cm, away from your head. That way, you should be able to avoid major damage.

I don't blow dry myself, but you should be fine if it's only every 3 days like you said. Make sure to use the lowest temperature setting. I would recommend getting it about 80-90% dry and then halting, letting the rest of the moisture dry on it's own... I think the only real concern is when people blow dry their hair on the highest setting every day... as long as you don't do that you should be ok.
