I've noticed more recently, especially with the obvious hairloss as well as crappy maintenence on my part before (straightening, etc), these really frizzy parts around the top of my neck developed. These are normal long hairs, just they are thin and all curly, making it look like a thin afro type hair in between my normally fairly straight hairs. Is there any way to get rid of this? I know I have to wait a long time for all of the frizzy hairs to grow back, but these are a similar length to other hairs, yet make my hair look messy and unkempt (which it isn't)...I don't want to get an undercut or anything like that either.
AzureNight, I am not sure if your wonky hairs are the transitional ones between your neck and regular scalp hair or are mixed in among the others. If they are a distinct area on their own that might just be the way those hairs grow and not a result of damage. Either way a silicone serum that gets sparingly applied when damp or dry as a leave in might help them be less frizzy.
