As for your imperative to post a pic from the front and sides-I'm sorry LHman, but posting pictures of that quality is very rare for me, as my progress pictures in the past have all been done by myself using my mobile phone camera.
This was a special occasion, but perhaps I'll take one from the front and sides (you mean together right, like a profile??) on my mobile soon.

Wow, that is very nice! You should definitely update your avatar picture. Did you use a straghtening iron or something for the pictures? Seems I always remember your hair being somewhat on the wavy side of the spectrum. Either way, it's a very nice look you've achieved, and no wonder that all who have seen the trim results are amazed, as I am.

I didn't go anywhere near a straightening iron (in fact that was offered to me after the trim but I refused).
The only thing I can think of why it turned out so straight is that either they put a relaxer of some sort in my hair whilst washing it (although I do have my reservations on this theory), or that it was because she blow-dryed it and brushed it downwards with a thick brush-something I never do myself.
Anyway it stayed like that mainly, until I washed it myself that is, 2 days later and man...it was back to its wavy self.

Gongratulations my friend, your hair looks superp =) Really, and your colour is so interesting, it seems to have some purple shades to it, fantastic =) And the lenght is really astouning already as well =) Hope mine gets as long as yours at 30 months.
I have some questions for you... I'd like to know how many trims have you had along this last 30 months. If you only had this one, how did your hair came out so blunt, straight cutted already?? It looks really good =)
Also, I'd like to know wether your hair is naturally wavy (like I always tought it was) or if it is straight as in the pictures... If it's wavy, do you use a comb or a brush to detangle?

Observing the amazing progress pictures you have posted over the last 23 months, all I can say is that I have NO DOUBT that you will hair as long as mine in 7 more months!
As for the highlights-I have no idea where they came from. Maybe from being in the sun a lot? I suppose lighting also makes a big difference. In any case, thank you João!
I had a trim in February, 1 week short of 2 years (so I was at 23months and 3 weeks at the time!) and one now in August at 30 months.
I believe it came out so straight on the bottom because of the way it was trimmed (remember I only had half an inch off, but WHERE she cut it may have made a difference in this) even though I asked her not to change my 'natural V-taper'.
In reality my hair is NOT as straight all around and at the bottom as these pictures suggest.
My hair is definitely wavy! Sometimes even bordering on curliness. It came out so straight I think becuase of the fact that she blowdryed it after the trim and used a thick brush while doing so-something I never do.
In fact I only finger detangle as my hair is quite fine and I hate that 'snapping' sound!
I do use a hand brush occasionally to stimulate my scalp though.
With my hair as wavy as it is now, it feels like a lifetime away! In fact my hair only stayed as straight as it is in these pictures until I had my first post-trim shower.
As to you João, all I can say is that I think you're a great person with a lovely family and that I am sure they will realise in time that you are committed to having long hair.

At first things moved soooo slowly, but now that's it is behind me, it wasn't so bad.
