  Hi. I've had short hair all of my life and recently decided to grow out long hair.

  My question is, should I get it trimmed while waiting for it to grow out? For example, having the back of my head trimmed around the neck area, so it doesn't look like I'm growing a mullet, and all of the hair grows evenly. Or does one just tough it out and go through a year or so of messy looking hair.

  Aprox. how long does it take to go from short hair to shoulder length hair?

  Next question is, I have a long face. Would long hair look silly on me? :)

    Best thing I'm thinking would to just stick it out, and long faces and long hair go good together.
