well back again, the first time i grew my hair i only found this site about 13 months into growing and already had messed my hair up a good deal brushing when dry, blow drying, shampooing everyday etc.
this is 1 months growth going from skin bald. i just got back from pennsylvania this pic was taken of me with my cousins i just quickly edited them out lol.
dude i am growing from shaved bald to! last time i shaved was in mid june. are you taking any suppliments? i am jacked up on vitamins like crazy! i am going to try to not even trim or anything for 1 year, then see where i am at. i have a cool job so i can do what i want dress and hair wise.

hey man. well aside from doing a fingertip/palm masage on my scalp everyday im into sprinting and lifting weights. i take a multivitamin called jacks animal pack and 2 or more 22gram scoops of optimum 100% whey protein. i have no clue if this stuff helps hair grow fast but i would think so; though i do not take it for the reason of increasing hair growth.
Well, you do know what you're in for so it's doubtful that you're going to need any questions answered. Having said that, I have no doubt you'll find an abundance of support from your old friends here.
Supplements aren't likely to have any appreciable effect on your rate of growth. The protein and vitamins are good for your fitness program. Being in good shape would complement any look- long hair or not.
It'll definitely be interesting to see your progress from the very start. What's your goal this time? I may have missed it in a previous post, but what made you change your mind? Your current length, to me, looks alot better than the spikey style when first cut.
By the way, did you hear about Jon Nödtveidt?

my goal this time.... not positive but im thinking about going to terminal length.
and no i didnt hear about nodtveidt... what did he do this time? they canceled the july show i was supposed to go to then i heard the band will be breaking up soon.

I know nothing about Jon as I'm not a fan of Dissection, but if the reports are true, it wasn't through depression or anything, but instead as part of his Satanist beliefs. It would appear he had long planned and looked forward to whatever afterlife he believed in. If you do a search you'll find plenty of reports.
As for Varg, I really doubt he's the type to do something like this. He's talked before about hanging himself when he is old, 'useless', has nothing to offer, and it is time to 'make room' for the new generations, but as far as using suicide as an escape, I believe Varg views such an act as that of a weak man, one who runs away from things.
Again, I am just assuming here, but it's likely Varg will assume his role in raising his daughter, and he has written about his plans to live out his life on a farm away from modern society.

I am so happy you're growing your hair long again... I mean it =)
When I first visited the forum, i was 7 months into growing my hair long, and I admired your hair a lot. In fact, when i first posted a picture someone told me I looked like Helgast... i asked huh?? Who's Helgast, then they told me it was a member from the forum, so you were like the first long haired guy here in the forum that I noticed better =) You were a big lost to the forum but I believe that if you had 13 months of a bad routine before you became a member of the forum you will have a much better journey of healthy new hair =)
I am hoping so much that you'll post pictures every month, I will ove to follow your progress into the land of long hair again =) I wish you all the best there can be for you, and I know you gonna make it EVEN better than the first time. Your hair was already so gorgeous, I just can't imagine how it will turn out this second time around...
And Helgast... don't do that again =) =) =)

I didn't want to say this cuz i knew i'd get attacked but i'll say it here that the shaved head did not suit you. You have great hair and it should not be shaved.

Hey its no problem you wont get attacked. Im not a person who takes myself too seriously and I'm not insulted or anything. I shaved my head the day after I got drunk and did some bad things, kind of a rebirth of myself.
you already look happier with just that much hair :P

I hate to say it this way, but I will:
Last month, you looked like you were a patient in the hospital who was suffering from some horrible terminal illness. The skin-bald look suits you about as well as a hospital gown, --- and is just about as "stylish". Even one month of hair growth on you is a HUGE improvement. Even if you never grow another inch on your head, to see just this much hair makes all the difference in the world between cringing in terror and clicking last month's pic away as fast as I could (so i wouldn't hurl), or enjoying seeing a healthy-looking and smiling person that no longer looks like they're confined to their final days in a sick bed.
Call me a crotchity old geezer if you want to, but if I ever see you shave your head again, I swear I'll personally come over to wherever you live and super-glue a wig on you!

lol i always crack up when i read your responses. my own grandpa was probably more disgusted with my bald head than he ever was when i had long hair.
That means your grandpa has good taste, then!
Glad you didn't get offended at my reply... I was a little worried that maybe I had gone into "over-kill" with my wording on that one (lol)!
